Unconscious Mind is a surrealist film festival devoted to the restoration of silent films, and to teach the public about silent film as an art form and as a historical archive of cultural significance.
The brief is to design a typographic work that celebrates the world of Silent Cinema. It may be a broad spectrum work that presents a series of chapters with different stories or It can focus on a certain aspect of the medium.
The use of letratone for the title is to achieve the effects that surrealist films created back then. The black color is based on the letratone color that I use to experiment with the artwork. It also represents the silent film that is still shot in black and white. The yellow color represents the further development of the silent film that is tinted and toned to create a better mood for the film.
